need help with this mini swap into a 89 dx hatch
some one did a crappy job of wiring it.so i have to go fix this guys mistakes to get it running again. i have a b7 block with y8 head. i need to know if the pcv valve needs to be plug into something cause its just hanging there. i have a old b16 intake manifold on it and don't
know much about this. also if i have y8 injectors do i need the fuel injector resistor box? i heard i didn't but i don't wanna **** it up more then what it is. need to know to if a 91 si dash well fit in a 89 dx. i have the whole 91 si car but the 89 is much cleaner. i want to build i bad *** car with the 91 si parts. any info on this would help me out a lot.

well you could swap there harnesses but you if you do i would do it from headlights to taillights...otherwise look up how to rebuild your existing harness, about the y8 injectors what ecu are you using, my pm6 fires them fine no resistor box and ive had it wired that way for a year, idk about the b16 intake, i use a y8 one, and my engine is a mini me a6 bottom end z6 head
If you have a B16 intake on it then it has an adapter plate? Or did you mean old D16?
The PCV hose should go to a black box on the back of the block.
What I do for my MPFI conversions is take the injector wiring all the way back to the ECU from the donor - as well as the extra wiring & plug/s on the SI engine harness for minimal splicing, factory lengths, looks, feel, ect... Kind of a PITA your first time - but I like all my boots remaining factory.
From what you are talking about doing just swap everything over - very time consuming but because of the wiring difference it would be MUCH easier to do it that way. Also, you wouldn't be chasing down wiring issues (hopefully).

its a old b16 like 87 or something. i doubt it is. never heard of some one doing that. but yea i might say screw this and build my 91 si up and forget about the 89. sounds much easier cause the wires are stock. i can just put the motor in. there is a guy around here that will wire it all up for 150 with a po6 ecu. sounds like a deal.
