your V2V clearences are what you really need to look at so you'll know what's safe and what isn't for cam adjustments.

hey thanks going to check triple check that dont worry

my problem is that i dont want to work out my block with x-amount of piston to head height then run in problems with V2P...

then have to run a thick headgasket or something to counter the V2P an in doing that my ideal compression is going to be too low.

any1 else with some input???

No as long as your valve reliefs are deep enough and just about any after market piston has big enough valve reliefs . if you will look its not the lift that makes pro3 so big its the duration so its not like your putting the valve realy close to the piston . I run h22 pistons on h23 crank and rods which put the piston about 26 thousandth out the top of the block with no problems. I like to shave the back of the valve reliefs back a little because you change the angle to how the valve goes in the relief but even with 1mm over size valves i doubt you shouldnt even need that . Hell your squinch points are still going to be 60 thousandths your not near as close as you think . like everybody has told you vtv is what you need to worry about . Also how are you getting your piston level with the top of the block ? Not that it matter weither its a special piston or you decked the block just curious.

Honestly you should have just took 20 thousandths out of the valve seat area and let it flow around the smaller valve just my opinon . Ive just had better results that way . On honda motors the valves are so close to the sides of the combustion chamber which limits air flow out the head that cutting the seats back and leaving the smaller valve for air to go around seems to work better (but hey what do i know) everybody thinks bigger is better.
