I don't have a b18c in my civic but I ran the same et but a lower trap at 94 mph in my i/e b16a powered 4dr dx. What kind of tires are you running, how are track conditions, how was the weather, what model civic/crx is the motor in, is the motor healthy, what rpm were you shifting at, what transmission are you using??

I would venture a guess to say if you changed out the cams you might see a difference. What ecu are you using and how are you operating the secondary butterfly valves.

Yeah, i have a feeling too... I would check the compression and if you are changing the cams out why not just go to the ITR cams...hehe Good Luck man..hope you find out what is up because it should pull much lower times than my torqueless b16.

mindtrix- yea ill pm you next time i go out...maybe next week....im geting falkens azenis soon...so im waiting on those...

91civic- yea, see im a dissapointed cause i spent extra dough over a b16 cause i wanted to go faster than them stock...i dont wanna be pulling the same or slower times as something with smaller then my b18c...im not planning on changing any internals for a while untill i can run the fastest i can with this motor...

BTW i run on stock 197k mi suspension....

EDIT: many people i talked to including h-t guys said i should be running low 14s and even high 13s given a good driver...which i admit im not at all

I got a 93 b18c into 91 crx si. I'm going to the track on the 12th of this month but mine probably runs low 14s maybe high 13s. I'm not sure but raced my brothers 91 celica all-trac with upgraded turbo + some other mods running 14 lbs of boost, he's in the low 14 high 13 range and we are about even, mine alittle faster. I've got h/i/e + exedy clutch/cm flywheel using a 92 GSR tranny.

THe way to see if you are making power like veryone else is too look at trap speeds. Ignore the ET because they are affected mostly by 60' times and drivers. Here is an example. a friend of mine would run 12.6@109. I ran 13.01@113. His 60's were 1.9 whilw mine were 2.1 at best. When we raced he would beat me out of the hole, but I would start pulling him hard and catch him at the end of a quater mile. My power to weight ratio was better which gave me a higher trap speed. Basically if the MPH is close you are making the same HP. It has been said that every MPH gained is 10 HP (flywheel or Wheel HP?). So if everyone with b18c1's are running 1 mph consistantly faster than you then the cam might be worth 10 HP.

trying to figure out if my motor is up to par and if its just my lame driving for my shitty times...
14.8 @96mph...H/E...2.4 60ft
In my gsr with just an AEM i was pulling 15.2@92.5. I would think that the same engine pulling at least 500 lbs less should be more than .4 and 3.5mph better. I was pulling similar 2.4 60fts. Could be due to different cams in the auto, I'd say go for some ctr cams if your gonna change them.

mindtrix- Where abouts is "just grindin", CA?

It was just stock JDM GSR with DC 4 into 1 headers and alot of my tweaking and slicks.
