Description: I bought this HFP OEM HONDA suspension for an SI model civic. Well I have an EX sedan and the EX's are lighter and the Si's. Well that thought slipped my mind when I ordered it. This WILL fit ANY model civic from 06-09. There is no difference other than the spring rates and the valving in the shocks.
Part number on box : Part# 08W60-SVB-100
This kit WILL lower your SI approx. 1" front and rear. The front struts and the rear shocks are 1" shorter than OEM SI stuff. The springs are slightly stiffer up front and out back, also the valving inside the shocks are beefier. The ride quality is amazing for OEM. This car sticks to the ground no matter which way you turn it. Its not too bumpy, or too soft. Handling is SUPERB. Body roll is like non-existant...its a bit more harsh, meaning you feel the bumps, but its kind of hard to explain. This suspension is the kit to have...its definitely the best bang for the buck!
It just didn't lower my car like I thought it would, BECAUSE my car is an EX which is lighter than the SI.
So, if you have an SI this WILL lower your car, OR even if you drive a DX/LX/EX with lowering springs....this will lower your car however much your springs say they will.
But I will NOT part out, or sell anything seperate, OR take trades for any of this.
This suspension was put on my car wednesday (6-15-11)...and I will most likely take it back off this weekend and put it back in the box. This suspension IS BRAND NEW. I unwrapped everything.
FYI: stock SI suspension is poop compared to this kit. Research it yourself.
