hey got a jdm b16 and i bought used gsr water pump the little nipple like piece that sticks out is to big for the gsr water pump is it ok to just drill it the water pump for that piece to fit so the pump will sit flush? has any one done this .... thanks for any help

i actually figured out what it was . on the old jdm water pump there was a guide that was stuck in the block ,that had to be removed to work , i had thought it was part of the block that did not come out but realized what it was.

just to let anyone know the jdm pumps are the same as any b16 or gsr or itr and i did know that.... but there are differences the gaskets are not the same and in my case the holes all match up but there are a few that are larger on the backside then others , the guide was stuck.

The real question is, why put a used/junkyard water pump on an engine? Did you get a good deal on a used belt also? Atleast buy a $39.00 rebuilt.

Sorry, it was not a bullshit response. It was a bullshit question. Who would waste the time to put on a 'used' GSR pump VS a 'used' B16 pump? If you need some more 'cheap' used parts PM me, used belts, tensioners, 02 pumps for $20.00 NO warranty. Plus shipping
