Just purchased my GS-R
I got my hands on a clean 1999 gsr and I absolutely love it. It's all stock and only 77k miles, no leaks, nothing. Any suggestions or comments? I'm pretty much open for whatever. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I want to do to it as of now.
Viper is fine, choose the model that comes with a pager, proximity sensor, and kill switch. And don't tell people what you have.
The ole' sayin' "Two can keep a secret if one was dead."
...this would be true unless you didn't install it yourself. That means you gonna have to murk the installer.

viper seems to be a winner. any suggestions at specific models of an alarm system? also does anyone have any other random suggestions. im tryin to research suspension like what brands to look for as well as benefits of having fully adjustable coilovers or just lowering springs...anythin in that department would be great

Welcome to the club. Lots of fun to be had with these cars. My advice is to keep it clean and classy if you mod it do it right. Don't just turn it into another GS-R wasted with random lame mods.
Congratulation on your pick up. I have a 98' gsr and love it.
Its up to you really. Is the car going to be your daily? Are you going to want to compete in Auto-x or do HPDE?
Most people here will rightly tell you SECURITY. Get a good two pager, back up battery, minisiren, hood sensor, kill switches ect. There a guide here on choosing yoursecurity set-up

After that most people do an suspension and wheels, bolt-ons (I/h/e), lip.
oh and post up some pictures

lol thieves do love them some integra's im actually about to buy a 94 integra LS and its pretty nice, not feeling the paint job but other than its pretty good, before i finish the turbo kit im definitly getting alot of security for it especially if plan on living back home in Florida in an urban area haha
Ill post some pics tonight. its milano red but its faded mostly so it doesnt shine. but the blades are sexy so that helps a lot. and i do plan on leaving it as a daily but i dont want it to be slow either hah. any suggestions on where i can find i/h/e relatively inexpensive and what brands i should go after? also any suggestions on suspension will be appreciated. i dont know too much about after market parts im mostly oem
Nice mine is also Milano red. I does fade pretty easy but a good buff wax polish will help restore the color.
You can find deals on in the market place here and craigslist. Mine is also a daily driver so I'm just going basics. Trying to restore it to its factory condition and bolt on's. As for suspension I'm doing a very mild drop on OEM type r struts/springs. It can be found cheap but you have to change your LCA's. For a lower drop tein springs and a decent pair of after market shocks if you're on a budget.
My advice is to just take your time and don't cheap out on stuff. You will end up just replacing it down the line.

i'm a total skeptic about gsr's under 100k. did you check it on carfax? cluster swaps are SO common. to this day i have came across one gsr in the past three years for sale with under 80k. it also sold failry quick at 7k

For I/H/E there are lots of optionsd but some generally well-accepted and relatively cheap mods are AEM CAI & RMF narrow replica header. Exhaust depends on personal style but I like Apexi WS2. 2.5" exhaust also wouldn't be a bad idea. Carsound makes the best catalytic converters.
Now's the time to decide whether you want to stick with boltons, do a mild or heavy all-motor build, or forced induction.
basically. if you go to suspension people are all going to say koni/gc for suspension and for $799 nothing will touch it. the only real debate is with spring rates. those would be matched to your tire choice and driving style. something like a kumho xs would perform well at 500/450, something like an s drive would be fine at 350/300 or 400/350
! Anyway have fun with your new car!
Hahaha!!
Congrats on picking up a GSR!!!
