Default Wheatley's tucked Evo8

I decided to start a milspec tuck harness back in November along with the rest of my build.

This was my bay last year

Progression over the last few months. The car will keep ps,heat, power everything and remain a street car. Last year the car went 10.6@143 Im hoping to get the ets down and get the mph into the 145 range with some weight reduction and some more boost!

Factory mess under the dash

Engine harness deloomed and ready to start depinning

PS low pressure line tucked under mount and cooler removed

Bay getting prepped and painted

Everything back in. I just did the factory abs delete last year with all new RS lines and master cylinder. Next year I plan on doing a full tuck to clean the firewall up.

Wiring parts came in.

Factory Chassis harness partially de loomed.

I really didn't keep track how much time I spent on it. Probably a hundred hours or more between the two harnesses. I also added my mac valve, all of my gauges, map sensor etc etc into the harness to get rid of all the add on things that used to be throughout the bay.

Looks great man! Any particular reason you decided to keep the battery in the bay? Just curious.

Thanks! With part of the reason for the tear down this winter to make the car nhra legal I would have to do a legal relocation as well. I didn't want to have to drill in my carbon deck lid or in my brand new jdm rear to install a cut off switch. I plan on making a new battery tray that doesn't look as gross but for the time being its an eye sore that is going to have to do.

This year the plan was to clean up the bay and make engine/trans removal as easy as possible. I also wanted it to be as clean as possible and be very functional. Another goal this year was to get the 60 fts out of the high 1.7 and into the 1.5s and be able to race at any track across the country. Our local track only requires a helmet which is fine but I'm ready to get out and compete at some events. It wont be that competitive in its class but it should be a ton of fun. I want a 9.xx at 145 so bad I cant stand it.

There has been a change of plans for the cage, it will be done this winter so I can get some racing in before the season is over. I went down to Fathouse's Saturday afternoon. He already had the collector fully welded as well as the head flange complete. Runner work started last night after dinner and I think it turned out pretty awesome! All the interior and wiring is now back in the car and the exterior minus the front bumper is all buttoned up too. Once fab work is done its ready to make boost!!

I picked the car up from Fathouse's last Thursday morning. Its coming along and I hope to have it ready in a week to get some miles on it before the shootout and troubleshoot any bugs that arise. Before it can fire it only needs a DP, and IC pipes.

Did the fabricator by chance place his ***** on the manifold upon completion?
