i need to get a new harness for the civic i just bought... it is a 97 EK hatch... the swap that is inside is a 96 GSR. i know i need to buy a 97 Honda civic engine harness but i was wondering if a harness from a 97 LX four door automatic civic would work also... all help appreciated
it will work but you will have lots of leftover plugs (could use these to add vtec sol, knock sensor, intake butterflys) whats wrong with the currant harness they all have to be modified to work.i think the reverse lights have to be moved from the auto harness also

the old harness is the one from the actual GSR motor and is just butcherd to hell.. so my best bet is to just find a 97 civic manual harness?
my experience has been to try get one at least from the same year. less likely to have wire position issues thru the connectors from the motor harness to the cabin harness. although i just had pretty good luck with a 95 ex harness into a 93 ex body.
