O I know stage two really doesn't do anything I'm just new to hondas is all I'm trying to figure everything out lol I had plans to swap put my head for the vtec head any ways but I was going to use the z6 ... Either that Or just throw the intake manifold from the y8 onto the y7 for better air and the exhaust mani as well............... Would any of this work ?
What are your plans for the build? Boost? N/a?
I'd leave the cams alone until you get your turbo running if that's the direction you're going. Your cams need to be designed around the turbo and head configuration you end up running. Cams are a lot more technical than many people think. Design the cams around your engine, not the other way around.

lol because it take me a while to save up money lol it would be cheaper just to turbo for now till i can afford the B18.... i have a son and currently trying to get into the coast guard so when that happens ill be able to get the B18 easy.. and you have to figure all of the custom mount work and other bits of money involved ..
all around its just really hard to get money.

it'd be a lot cheaper if you didn't waste all that money on a turbo just to throw it out for maybe half what you paid for it.
any b series is a straight drop in. no custom anything.
the engine, axles, ecu, and harness. your done.

Still doesn't make any sense. If you do it right a boosted D will more than outperform any stock B series.
If money is an issue this is the wrong hobby to be in.

This is all I hear: "I'm going to put $4,000 into a CD which earns .07% for 2 years so I can put it in a Vanguard mutual fund after that and earns 10%, I'm just impatient."
You've got more important things to do than waste money on a car, especially if your career path is pending and you have a kid.
Bottom line, modifying an engine now while you know you're going to swap it later is a waste. Start with the platform you think you'll stick with.

The cams from non-vtec and VTEC heads are not compatible/interchangeable.
