EuroR compatibility questions
I'm looking to start a new project, probably a 92-96 prelude, and have been doing my research on k swaps. Already owning 4th and 5th gen preludes i'm fimilar with their suspension and brakes, but there's not allot of info on k-swaps into ludes.
I will need either a 6spd TSX, or an Accord EuroR Transmission, linkages, and shifter assembly (or 5spd accord manual) to use the Hasport BBK1 mount kit and axles.
To use Kpro I will need to use an RSX-S ecu.
To use a K24a2(TSX) I will need to use an RSX-S harness and a throttle body/manifold with throttle cable provisions.
Question:
However, If I am correct, the EuroR K20a uses a throttle body/ manifold with throttle cable, so if I buy a complete EuroR swap (Engine, trans, ecu, harness, shifter cables and box), will I be able to use the EuroR harness with K-pro? It's only about $350 for a new harness from acura, but that $350 would also buy an EP3 radiator for the swap...
Are there any other ECU/ tuning/ wiring compatability issues that I may or may not be taking into account?
One of these two engines would be ideal, and I could always upgrade to LSD in the TSX swap or K24 bottom in the EuroR swap, at a later date.
I want to find the most money efficient method to get a complete swap together to allow funds for the rest of the car. Right now I'm looking at about $7-8k for either of these swaps (excluding price of car and chassis mods), mabey alittle bit more for the TSX.
