Default Check Fuel Cap Light

So today I get out of the gym, start my car and on the dash it says 'Check Fuel Cap' I've never seen this before, but I opened the gas door, took the cap off and put it back on, and nothing. I turned off the car and started it a few times, and it is still on. Anybody have this happen before? I don't know any other way to check it, I screwed it back on until it clicked a few times. Next step is calling my Honda dealership. It's a year past the warranty, but only has 29k miles on it.
