I noticed my valve train is a little noisy and on the bottom side of the hood setting valve lash is one of 2 things that need to be reset. So i started right away but realized my valve covers probably are not coming off without the intake manifold coming off first. If this is the case could someone confirm that i need to take my intake manifold off first so i know to buy a intake gasket? The vehicle is a 98 acura cl 3.0 v6 (j30a1) same as accord v6.

OR if anyone knows of a thread i can read about setting valve lash on this motor please post a link!
