JDM Front painted wrong, what to do?
(I fail at explaining, just a heads up
)
So as you can see in the pictures below.. this guy failed in painting his JDM front the correct way. I was wondering if I would have to take off the whole front bumper just to paint the area of the bumper where its supposed to be black, or can i just reach behind it and do my best lol and If I do have to take the bumper off, any tips on how to paint it or If I should just get a shop to do it? I doubt getting a shop to do that little detail is worth it though. And If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the area of the front bumper below the license plate holes . Sorry I'm just a picky guy when it comes to little details like that.
Thanks in advance
(Notice how his is white criss crossing and the Real front only has the two areas on the side coming down connected by the middle line)
Fail guy

wrong forum.
but to be helpful it isn't hard to fix. you could just get a tin of flat black at your local auto paint shop, brush over those bits by yourself while the bumper is still on the car.

get a nice small roller. more even spread but you could also use a paint brush.
end of the day if you use flat black it really doesn't matter. just take your time and don't rush it.

The only time you want to use a roller or brush is when you're painting a house. Short of getting it redone professionally I'd mask off the area and spray accordingly. If you're insistent on using a brush or roller I'm pretty sure Bob Vila has some good How-Tos.
those bits are flat black from factory. it's such a small job i can't see why you would pay to have it done "professionally" or go to all the effort to mask and spray.
i touch up my Z's bumper once in a while since it's too low, it's always with a roller and there's nothing wrong with the outcome.

That isn't orange peel, it's OEM texture which is integral to the bumper on Z32s.For the bottom part of a bumper, I wouldn't mind using a roller since it's just going to get scraped up anyway.
If you went to a halfway decent shop you should take it back to them and tell them they screwed up and make them fix it. Good luck and take this to the Integra forums next time.
