Firts off hello I'm new to the board and new to Hondas. I just bought a 93 dx hatch and I have a few problems that just popped up. Btw, it has a 95 ex engine inside. Okay so after a few weeks one day when I go to drive i turn on the car....the cluster lights are on...I hit the brake to drive and they go off. Now the speedometer will stay at zero at times, my temp gauge will stay at zero or act crazy but my gear lights always stay on. My blinker light indicators and all the others work. I notice that my running rear lights wont go one but my reverse lights work fine. Also my center console light indicators for the shifter also go off when I hot the brake. I checked the fuses visually they seem fine. I have not done any add ons since I got it and done nothing to the engine whatsoever. Any thoughts? Bad cluster? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check your grounds, [harness grounds].

When one circuit, [brakes, a hot at all times circuit] have an effect on another circuit, [cluster lights, a switched circuit] it is almost always due to a grounding issue. 94

 

Check your grounds . And also check for any burnt or bad connections in your loom .
