Doesnt PCA require affiliation with BMW or Alfa clubs if you dont have a Porsche? I dont remember the details, just that they have restrictions to who can run with them and when.....which is why I usually ignore PCA events.
"You do not need to be a member of the Porsche Club of America to participate in this program."
Quote from PCA HPDE registration. I have heard that PCA will not let you join unless you have a Porsche, at least when you join. BMW club cost $40/year and then you can run with PCA and BMW. BMW is very user friendly. Between the 2 clubs, usually 6+ events at PIR yearly, and PCA does ORP. The $40 yearly fee is little in comparison to actual driving costs, the daily fee, tires, brakes, gas, etc. Since there are no Acura or Honda days at PIR....

So what is the best club to join at PIR? I got a 00 civic si with h2b swap with tons of brake and suspension upgrade... Just want to test my car out and compare aftermarket parts on my car how they differ from eachother.. just free time on the track... But there r so many clubs and I don't want to contact each one just to find out they don't run with hondas or too expansive...
I run with, and belong to, BMW. I also run with PCA as they reciprocate with BMW. CSCC is open, and I used to run with them. Hooked on Driving is open. If you look at these clubs schedules once they are out for 2012, then you get a good selection of days of the week. All cost about the same. All use similar instructor requirements for novice, and similar requirements to advance groups.
