1996 Honda Civic DX Coupe Brake light problems
The problem is that (two) brake lights one located on the driver side and the other located on the passenger side won't go off even though the car is turned off. The other brake lights won't come on at all even when the brake pedal is pushed. Can you help me locate the problem and fix it without having to take it to the dealership.
The brake light bulbs that are not lit are probably burned out or are the wrong bulbs.
Check whether the rubber stopper (pad) that presses on the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal has fallen out:

I'm having the same problem. Heres what ive done so far. I've changed the bulbs. Checked the fuses. (couldn't really find a brake light fuse). I changed the brake light switch. My next step is to take the wiring harness and search for a cut wire or something. The parking lights work fine. Just when I push the brakes nothing comes up. Any advice?

The fuse thats labled tail lights checked. It's good. Just am not sure of there's another fuse for the actual brake light. When I turn my lights on they work fine just when I push the brake the lights don't illuminate. Get it? That'll say normal or if the lights off nothing lights up.
