A´pexi Rev/ Speed Meter GP/ G-Tech worth the money?
I tried the G-Tech and it's not that accurate. It's a good tool to use to judge from different mods, but that's about it. I now have the RSM and it's awesome. It's compact, nice display, tons of features and very accurate.
One thing you have to notice is that the G-Tech calculates base on the mercury switch. The RSM w/ G-sensor hooks up to the ECU.

why is the g-tech inaccurate? I've noticed lots of people say that, but if you are basing that on track time vs time on the street, it's unfair to say because track conditions on a 1/4 mile track are going to be different than what they are on the street. on the street, there are rocks, inclines, declines, minute bumps, maybe big ones, maybe a few oil smears to affect your time. the variables on the street are too many to count, where as on the track, there is some sort of controlled environment. and if you are saying the g-tech is inacurrate, is that because you were running timing equipment at the same time you ran the g-tech and compared them directly with one another?
It wouldn't make much sense to compare the street to the track. I'm sure they tried it on the track and came to their conclusions based on the run.
