When I rev my motor while standing still or driving, up past 4500rpms, and allow it to idle, there seems to be a slight "murrr" sound when the rpms fall, starting at 4500, down through 3000 rpm's. can anyone elaborate on what this sound is caused by? You can hear it between 12 and 13 seconds in the video.

Check your cat heat shield, mine made a slight buzzing in that rpm range for awhile.

 

Does it make that sound while accellerating AND decellerating? Or just decellerating?

 

Both, but its more noticeable when decellerating.

I figured that this sound was my clutch beginning to get weak and go out.

 

Go down the road in 5th gear at 40mph and floor it, if the RPM's don't slip your clutch is fine.

 

lol. The way I know it was my clutch was because my clutch died on the fwy. It wouldnt go into gear because one of the springs blew out. Replaced it and now the sound is gone.
