Default B16A running strange

Well i was driving down the road and went to shift and noticed my rpms didnt drop in between shifts which seemed odd, and when i came to a stop light and put the clutch in the idle was sitting at 2k then i taped the gas pedal and it dropped back down, which made me think the throttle was sticking. So i went and purchased some throttle cleaner and used it all and still not returning back i tested the tps and got a reading of .27 but not sure if the tps is really the reason does this sound like a tps problem or throttle body?

I am assuming you have an OBD-0 B16A? If so they have FITV (fast idle thermal valve), that has a ceramic "plug" that backs out. Take off the cover and screw it back in.

Yes it is OBD-0 B16A with ODB 1 p28 and dizzy. I screwed it in like 2 months ago when i was trying to find a searching idle i had before. I also put another IACV from an integra as well so think they might both be fine.

Well for todays update i pulled over when the idle was stuck high and push the throttle cable back and the idle dropped back down so im not sure if the tps is keeping it from closing all the way or the throttle body itself. I already sprayed the throttle and wiped it off is there something i could maybe soak it in? not sure what else i can do as far as cleaning if its not the tps.

maybe its the throttle cable. I have the same problem myself in my d15 civic. I am interested in seeing what the problem could be. I always thought if it was a tps, then it would throw a code, but now that you mention it, I am really interested to see.

I think the tps CEL is usually disabled on b16a swaps atleast mine is. So will never know unless i check the voltage. I also noticed that it doesnt stick tell i rev it above 2k rpms i can rev it between 1-1.5k and it wont stick....
