01-0246 Black Type-R For Sale (Florida)
This is a Honda-Tech Special Price. This Friday (10-5-02) I will be putting an ad in Autotrader.com, and the price will go up. I want a true enthusiast to buy this car.
2001 Acura Integra Type-R #246 Black 33,xxx miles
Bought New (For my wife) in January 2001
Details:
VaporTrail (John Gadd) installed Nuespeed race springs not long after I bought it, and I recently added Skunk2 front camber kit (3 weeks ago).
The timing has been advanced to 18 by Kenji
This car has autocrossed several times, and even Dave-ROR got a chance to drive it. The cars primary duty though is daily transportation. I bought this when I had my 99 Turbo Si (which seemed to breakdown alot). The Type-R was my "reliable" car. We added window tint and an alarm. 3 weeks ago, I added a K&N replacement air filter. Valves have not been adjusted yet, but will be very soon. She runs synthetic oil every 3k miles. She has been great to us, and has never needed any warrenty servicing and has never been in an accident. She does have 1 small door ding on the passenger side door (but the paint isn't chipped, so it will be easy to get removed).
Why so many miles? She's a daily driver. I love driving her...anywhere. We just came back from a 2-week, 3800 mile road trip, and this wasn't the first time. Most of the miles are all highway.
Why am I getting rid of her? I haven't had 2 car payments in almost a year, and yesterday (monday), I bought a 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition. Needless to say, I now have 2 payments. 1 has to go (and it's not the SUV).
Where do you fit in? I am offering H-T members a low price. NADA Retail (with high mileage deduction) is $22,300. I am selling it for $21,000 OBO.
I might bring it to the Dyno Day in St Pete this weekend.
Please contact me through e-mail @ charles_phelps@partech.com and mention the H-T ad.
I'll add pictures as soon as I find them
Thanks,
Charles

Good luck. Sorry to hear another R go. Make sure a stunna doesn't get it and crash it...... Kinda pricey but i'm sure you can sell it for that price
Actually, $21k is highly negotiable. In fact, the sooner it sells, the cheaper I'd let it go. I'm in the middle of refinancing my home (going from 30 to 15 years) and the additional payments are gonna mess with that process.
If she's gone by this weekend, somebody could have her for $20,000, MAYBE LESS. I'm in a good mood.

It is an ASKING price you guys realize right? lol
anyways, about his car. It is clean and well maintained. I enjoyed running it at the auytox I drove it in and I think I could have beat my GS-R's times with it had I done a few more runs.. although his Wife was not happy that I drove it. lol

I really want to see her goto a good honda loving home.
How about $19,600? That's NADA Trade-in (including mileage deduction)
I'm not trying to undercut anyone, or ruin the value, but simply put, the dealer was not going to give me a good offer. I'm in the middle of re-financing my home, and the ITR payments WILL AFFECT it. IT needs to go, and go fast. It's an awesome deal.
And in case your wondering, the deal I got on the Expedition was a one-time only SUPER-DUPER DEAL! I couldn't pass on it. I hadn't planned on selling the R till Nov/Dec, but the deal was too good to be true.
If you ar eseriously intersted, contact me. You will not be disappointed, I promise.
