2002 civic ex - all at once: keyless entry stopped working, opened door with key, got inside the car and the master power lock did not work; dome light did not work with door open; door chime did not work and door open; and parking brake light stayed brake was not engaged, A/C not working. It all happened at once. I had locked the car just a few minutes earlier with the keyless entry. Checked brake fluid, it was ok. Checked for blown fuses there were none.

i copied this from a guy the search and this is the same exact problem i have myself. does anyone have any insight on what this could possible be?? its driving me crazy! has this happen to anyone else?

nevermind i found it. for future reference its the multiplex control module. get a new interior fuse box

 

just messaged ya, hopefully you can help me find out the location and maybe part number of the control unit, and maybe even the cost, haha. let me know.

Since you didn't specify what year and model (whether it's a coupe or sedan, LX, DX, EX, etc) - you'll need to look it up. Input your car info, then look for the MCU under "Control Unit (Cabin)" .. it should be illustration #5


The Multiplex Control Unit is part of the fuse box under the dash board. You have to replace the whole thing. (the fuse box)


You could probably find one for less at a junk yard or someone in your area with a parts car.
