Hey Guys
I have a quick question about welding a roll cage in our cars? Hopefully someone can help me. I am welding a cage in my ej1 and i am trying to figure out if i need to weld in some kind of reinforcement to be compliant with the NHRA rule book. I have read thru it but there nothing about mounting to a unibody chassis and requiring subframe connections. Can someone that has done this explain to me if i just weld the plates to the floor board or do i weld in some type of subframe connections and weld the cage to that? Thanks

 

just weld the plates to the floorboard...dont forget the d bars and lower rocker sill cross bar
