Default d15b2 into a hf question?

Ok so here is my question. I have two crxs. one 89 hf the other 91 dx. mpfi vs dpi. The 91 is beat all to hell, really not worth saving to me. Probabley going to scrap her. The 89 is in MUCH better shape but the engine is gutless and on top of that she is starting to smoke badly (broke / stuck ring). If i pull the d15b2 out of the 91 and drop it in the 89 keeping the mpfi how starved for fuel / air is it going to be?

Its not going to be... This can be done but i dont know what problems youll run into going from 91 to 89 like that as far as the installation.

Keep all the externals of the HF motor and and put them on the incoming motor. Simple as that - the main reason the HF has no power is because of the transmission.

Yea the gearing sucks and it is only 63 horsepower. The d15b2 is a 16v instead of 8v. Plus has a more "for lack of a better word" agressive cam profile. Right. I just don't want to lean it out and tear it up.

I understand all that, either way the B2 is only about 30hp more anyways. There is no way it would lean it out enough to burn up the motor - just the performance is going to suffer from that computer. If you are worried about it then get a A6 computer - but then you might worry about running rich huh?
