(a little long) pls help i need to fix asap
k guys here's the scenario, i had the alternator belt changed on my f22b dohc(jdm), so after a couple of weeks of driving the charging system light went on when i accelerated, but went away when braking then the opposite occured. but now the light is on constantly. i checked the belt it was fine, now i was driving home, nite time now i notice that my accesory lights are very dim, my gauges went crazy when i used the turn signal and the gauges totally went off as if car was not running. i turned off my accesories and radio ect. and it seemed fine so i need a new alternator im pretty sure or could it be something else?
help please.....which alternator could i get as a replacement an f series or h series or could i get the current alternator rebuilt even though its jdm

an Idea:
sounds like the alternator belt might have been overtightened when it was installed. It IS possible to do this (trust me). This would torque the rotating mass in the alternator housing which, upon rotation, would impact the contact points (forgot the terminology - been awhile)....did you ever hear a 'ever-so-quiet' clink-clink-clink when you had your hood open and you were idling? Probably not since the symptoms were pronounced when you were under throttle. But anyway...your actual alternator might be screwed up. Check the tension, loosen (if warranted) and then keep you fingers crossed that your alternator lasts awhile more.
