D15b2 motor in si shell? help me!!

Icon2 D15b2 motor in si shell? help me!!

I have a D15b2 motor out of a dx model and i dont have the money to buy a new motor for the si. is there anywhy i can put the dx motor in the si shell?

Yes - take out the old motor and put the new one in it's place - viola you did it! Use all external components from the SI motor.

i dont have the si motor! i just have the shell. have have everything for the dx im driving that now but it got hit and i bought a shell. i thought my motor would go in it but idk if it will. bc the si cabin harness has 4 plugs and the dx motor has 3

Oh well you didn't say all that... What is everything that you have under the hood from the SI motor? (ex. Harness for motor, resistor box, ect) Or is everything gone with just the cabin harness.

If that's the case then, and if you want to keep it cheap, you wasted your money buying a SI.

Well you will have to go backwards and rewire the car for DPFI. I am pretty sure there aren't any MPFI to DPFI write-ups LMFAO! At bare minimum you will need a SI distributor, intake manifold setup (injectors, TPS, ect), engine harness if you don't want to (what I consider to be) ruin the car.

You could get a 88-91 si motor or any 92 up motor, even a dx.
