That Blue Tape

Road tripping and I see people wrapping the front end in blue tape. What kind is it? Where do you get it? Does it leave a residue? Thanks!

Painter's tape (you'll find green and blue probably). Most automotive stores, such as Autozone. No. You're welcome.
