i was at my buddies performance shop today and he had a carbon spoon wing. jokinly we went out to the parking lot for a test fit. after carefull assessment of the upper panel, very basic modifications would be required to the upper panel. basically remove the upper panel above the glass by the four 10mm nuts. line up with spoiler and mark material tyhat needs to be removed. the cut off most of the top section of that steel panel. the wing should mount flush. test fit, trim and adjust, then figure out a way to secure it. eith weld up some brackets or just epoxy the spoiler to your crv upper panel. i will be doing this in the next few weeks when the budget allows. right now im waiting for full coilovers and new wheels. i almost impulse bought the wing today but i held back. updates coming. sorry for being a cocktease.

and i got this idea from a member on here or crvoc. dont remember. he said his spoiler was a sectret. im assuming this is kind of what he did.

as i thought so when you posted your V on your thread... i had a chance to test fit
one from my eg and the typeR(ek) wing w/ out the lower base, but i opted to use the
jazz/fit wing since i got a CF one from a junk yard for dirt cheap!

Although it seams like a perfect fit, it isnt. I tried this same thing before getting an OEM wing for my CRV. Best of luck to ya.

Im interested to see what an ek hatch type-r wing would look like.

 

since the type-r is a 2 piece wing.. use our's as the base. may fit better. wish i knew someone with one, i'd test it out

 

Eg spoilers are EVERYWHERE...while V spoilers stick out too far and are hard to find. Not to mention, I dislike the 3rd brake light on it strongly....

 

Im quite fond of my V spoiler. I actually bought an entire parts vehicle just for it.

 

if the jazz wing fit the 1st gen crv. i think the "spoon" style jazz wing would flow nicely

 

I have a 91 civic hatch wing im going to mount on mine when I get a chance. Been busy gutting a second house i bought and havent been able to do anything to any of my hondas except change the oil.
