my friend has a 97 GSR full swap for $3700. legit with VINs and paperwork.
and it comes EXTRA with JDM red cover, JDM oil cap,
ITR valvetrain (springs and retainers only), skunk2 short shifter, ACT
stage 2 clutch kit, lighten flywheel,
DC 4-1 (NOT JDM DC) header. just did valve adjustment last week and
did a compression test (reding within factory spec)

Have you checked with Sohfast? They do allot of engine swaps, not sure what their prices are like, probably right around $4k. You could watch eBay as well, allot of swaps pass through there, and if you limit yourself to local auctions, you can inspect the merchandise firsthand before paying.
