Hello,

There is the situation;
There is a B-series head that had a valve job designed for 0.5mm oversized valves.

Is it possible for a machine shop to do a valve job using those same valve seats to fit standard sized valves?

I keep reading one thing or the other. I imagine it's possible, but the stock/standard size valves would be sunk into the ports a little more than normal.

Any help/input is appreciated.

Ya, that's most definately not a good idea. just get the right valves.

Why is not a good idea? I would like to have a greater understanding about this subject.

Has someone ever tried this, or failed at trying? Personal experience?
