88 hf build... getting back in the game
after being on the sidelines for about 5 years now is the time to jump back in the game. I just worked out a deal for two crx's from a friend. I just got the 88 to the house its ruff but a good platform for a weekend track car and autocross. It has been striped down to just under 1600 pounds with the current vx swap in it. pics are of when it first arrived in its dirtiest form.

zeal or kw coil-overs
auto power cage

Yes it is. My buddy had set the car up for road course racing... it has a wire tuck and he mounted a odyssey race battery in the dash, it fits pretty good to. it does need some cleaning up though.
Started to work on the b16 long block for the car today and found a unfortunate surprise. Spun rod bearing on one rod and all the other ones had material missing from them. After a long talk with my buddies the plan now is shifting to a ls-vtec build with the b16 pistons from the hashed block I already have. The best part is my wife wanted to know what I wanted to do for my birthday and all I wanted to do was have a couple friends over, drink some beers eat some good food and work on the motor for the crx “I had not been able to in months with life as busy as it is” and this was my surprise birthday gift LOL…

b16 is out of the picture... so I have started the build I never thought I would. d16z6 with d17 crank, rods and pistons. I have installed the full rotating assembly from the d17 into the z6. future plans are to get everything running good and then start building a turbo kit for it. Ill take pics of the motor and the car in the afternoon and post them.
