Default Car Went A Little Faster

Well, bettered my 10.7 with a 10.58 @ 139. Need to get a few things straightened out, get some more seat time, and get it into the 10.3s.

I have no idea what kind of power its making. I want to resurface the head again, throw a new HG in it (it was blowing coolant out every pass- so maybe if it seals better, itll go faster). Then itll hit the dyno once its healthy again.

Make sure you tq those head studs down to 80-85ft lbs.

We also honda bond the oil passages and coat with copper gasket spray front to back, easy insurance.

Get that 60ft down to the low 1.60's and shes gonna go faster than a 30. Nice times. These D-Series are making a come back. Im about to put together another car.

Yea, I have a 1/2" drive torque wrench, but can only fit a 3/8" drive socket. So I use a 1/2-3/8 adapter, with a 3" extension. Then I set the wrench at about 87 ft/lbs. I may up it to 90 because of the extension and adapter.

Ive tried the copper spray, and it doesnt seem to make a difference. So far, Ive gone through 4 head gaskets, and never mixed water and oil, or had oil leaks. It only pushes boost into the coolant. If milling and a new gasket doesnt work, its time to step the deck.

And yea, I went from beat to hell M/T 24.5x9, to brand new M&H 24.5x9.5, and my 60s stayed in the low 1.7s. I need to figure out my launch settings, and try and get that down. And I think it needs a little more boost in 2nd. But Im hoping with a little more seat time, I can see some 10.30s or better. Ive only had 7 full passes on this setup this year.

Thanks for all of the comments!!!

No idea what the DA was. My dad has a weather station, but I never pulled it out. I know when I pulled up to the scales after that pass it said 99*F. LOL. And altitude is 5800. I would guess somewhere in the usual 9k range.
