92 LS transmission install onto b16a2. clutch questions
i recently bought a clutch kit for my LS transmission. i installed it correctly to my knowledge from watching a specific video on youtube. i installed it to the "T" using the alignment tool and everything.
i got the transmission bolted up to the engine, and as of right now it is ready to go.
now my question is, is that when u pull up on the clutch arm where the cable goes, should u be able to activate the clutch with the motor outside the car.
why i am asking is bcuz i was just outside. cleanin the motor more, and pulled up on the arm. i felt the throw out bearing sliding out, and then it just stopped when it came to the pressure plate. didnt move after that.
i thought the throw out bearing was supposed to hit those arms and push those arms down to activate the clutch?

I don't have an answer to give so sorry.
I do however have a question, what's your reason for going with an LS tranny? Trying for more MPG?

If you can pull the arm up by hand then you are a machine. Why do you think there is a longer pedal on the clutch to provide more leverage? Also there is a diagram floating around that shows all the measurements for properly setting clutch height/s. YouTube blows - true story.
personally i like the gear ratio for the LS transmission. i dont like the gears of the b16, and to help save a little bit of money i didnt want to go with the GSR tranny and get the hydro to cable conversion.

but it was something that just popped into my mind, like "should i be able to move this"
but i do know that once i get the motor in the car i can adjust the cable itself.
