Nos? Why the bottle of Haterade?
I'm just curious as to why everybody on these boards, except for a few people, have a tremendous dislike for NOS. I've had a turbo'ed B16, and now I run a B18c5 with a 75 shot of ZEX, and the ITR motor is waaaaay stronger on the spray than the B16 was @ 10 lbs. It's a viable form of speed enhancement, yet get's no respect...Where's the LOVE??? I personally wouldn't have it any other way. My take is that people are afraid to puke out their motors, so they point the finger at the N20 as something that could "hurt" it. Lies I tell you!!! Have some sense, and the spray will be your friend...
Where are you from, everyone i know around my town are bottle babies lol. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you use it right. My friend runs 100 shot (gsr) with no problems at all, and a couple of the sohc guys run 75 shot.
I love it myself, I'm running a LS with a 55 shot of Zex. N2O just has a bad name from all the inexperianced users.

Thank goodness! All I ever heard was how low-end Nos is, and I was just rying to protect a defenseless gas' reputation...
And Ichiban, I'm from Hickory, where are you?

most people only have a problem with it if someone hooks up a bottle to an otherwise stock (or mildly modified) car and then pretends to be the ****. it's like bpu supra owners or dsmers on stock turbos, 18psi and race gas talking **** to built hondas. it's usually the people running it, and not the actual bottle IMO.
i think the fast and the furious kinda killed it for a lot of people....made it seem more like a joke that only rice boys do....i have no problem with it but id rather have boost...so thats wat im savin for
All motor is fine and dandy, but it's expensive when you get up in the high HP area, unless you have a ton of displacement. You'll resort to anything for power.
I belive nos is great--- just not alone, i would accompany nos with a turbo or a supercharger, and as a -fi replacement- per se. After all, if you drain a bottle every two weeks for a year, that's a load of cash. Vs. you can use a turbo/supercharger all the time, and of course it's more of a long term investment.. but the power is there, and for longer, and (if done right) can be low maintenance too! =]

i have a ls with direct port..but i haven't been able to use it yet
, problems...if any one can help me out i would appreciate it. i'm getting too much fuel, but it's a bitch to keep changing the jets because the plumbing is underneath.

f@f did **** it all up. I do run nos, which stands for nitrous oxide systems the brand of kit I use. I like nos because it Makes my 12 second all motor car run 11's.
The haters hate it because none of there turbos can spool a 150 whp in 300 rpms. See link below, and I was running a 100 direct port then now its a 120 and the *** dyno says

Why do you keep having to change jets? Is your fuel pressure fluctuating alot? Or is the bottle just running low? More information is needed.
i haven't changed the jets yet but i've been told to keep changing them till i get the right combination. when it was tuned the bottle was full but very low psi

nah quest didn't tell me that. actually i don't know where my fuel pressure is at because i haven't driven my car or checked it out since it's at the bodyshop. the bottle pressure was at 500 maybe lower, don't remember. i borrowed my friends and he said it was full
(so he says)

500 psi is waaaaaaaaayyy empty. The pressure should be at about 900 - 1200 psi. Don't bother changing your jets untill you have a full bottle. Ohh, and you do need to figure out your fuel pressure. I would guess that it would be about 35 - 40 psi. You can get a fuel pressure gauge for about $50, and I would recomend that.
lemme give a shot as to why nitrous gets no respect....everyone knows that building an all motor car is damn expensive..especially if you want to go fast...people spend thousands of dollars on cams, head work, pistons, tuningetc to go fast...then you have some guy with a bone stock civic DX...buys a 500 dollar nitrous kit...and BAMM..he's hitting 13's...so the all motor camp is mad ........
