Default wiring up vtec on a d15z1

My buddy has a 92 civic which had the d15b7 but blowed it up and bought a d15z1 and I put it in for him and used the wiring harness for the z1 and the ecu so I just need to know how to hook up the vtec?

if you used the z1 harness(which is vtec-e) then it should already have the plugs for the vtec solenoid, which in turn should plug right into the ecu, and you should have vtec... if you didint use the z1 harness, its only a few wires you ned to run to the ecu, and a ground

VTEC with that ecu engages ar 2500 rpm so you aint going to hear anything engaging at high rpm, it should sound like its already in VTEC though!

Well is there a different ecu that will help it? I mean I know there isn't much help with the z1 it being an economy motor but it should have better power than the b7 and it doesnt
