Default itr vs b16 with kaaz lsd

I have a chance to trade my usdm j4d itr tranny for a b16 with a kaaz lsd. I know the kaaz is stronger but harsher (reason friend wants to trade) than the oem lsd. Is it a worth while trade or am I better of sticking with my tranny?

Depends on mileage on the Kaaz and overall condition of the trans versus yours. If they are equally in good shape with no grinds or high mileage..then it can be a good trade. The kaaz is an excellent road racing LSD. It will tend to be harsh for a daily depending on how it was set up(clutches). If you are looking to keep easy daily driving without the LSD clutch chatter...then keep your ITR trans. If you plan to spend more time at the road course then the Kaaz can have some benefits for you. Keep in mind that a clutch type LSD will require periodic rebuilds and a different fluid as well frequency of fluid changes vs. your ITR trans.

Run Synchromesh with some Posi additive and the Kaaz is tamed for the street.

Don't drag race on it much, how I broke mine.

Yeah...they have always been more of a Road Race type LSD and work awesome in that light. There are plenty who use it for Drag...just doesn't hold up to it(Like Bone stated) like a helical IMO.

Bone..the new ones are supposed to be more tamed for the street...they changed the design comps on them a bit...I have yet to try one out though.
