Default discoloration on cylinder walls.

Hello,

I recently took my head off and noticed some discoloration on my cylinder walls. I have aftermarket sleeves and they are a dark grey, and I have have a blochy light grey(silver) discoloration on the intake thrust side of the cylinder. Is that showing that its worn or somthing else? Nothing I ever experienced with stock sleves.

My compression was good across the board so I cant imagine anything being broken or wrong..... yet.

bump

looking at it again the cross hatches are harder to see in the lighter color area as if they are worn down. so maybe that signifies the wear on the cylinder wall. I'll try to post a pic if I can.
