Honda Civic Hybrid IMA Control
Hi
I'm a new member here, but a very experienced member on InsightCentral.net. Some of the hybrid civic owners may have heard of 'MIMA' a system originally developed by Mike Dabrowski at www.99mpg.com to allow manual overide of the Insight IMA Control system. This system allowed more power and mpg and much better use of the IMA batteries. It also helps with battery longevity allowing manual charge and discharge control.
I've been working on this IMA control for a while and now have some Civic hybrid IMA parts on the bench. After a bit of analysis I think it may be possible to develop an IMA control system reasonably easily for the first gen hybrid civics.
I have had my own IMA control system and battery gauge display working on MK1 Honda Insights for over two years.
So my question is this. Is there any market/interest in an IMA control system for MK1 Civic hybrid? How many are there/would want one? How best to interest/reach Civic hybrid owners?
I now need a 2001-2005 CIVIC hybrid ECM and harness connectors so i can get to work on some more data analysis. Anyone want to donate and send me one?
I really need an enthusiast owner in the UK to work with on the development of this project but worldwide users may well be able to assist.
Thoughts and comments? Volunteers?
This is not a money making get rich quick scheme, the software would be available freely and pcb kits produced for a modest fee. I'm very much an open source type of chap.

PS I live in North Yorkshire near Thirsk for anyone in the UK who might want to help with this in exchange for a free unit if it works.
