About a week ago i was driving home from work and I smelled something burning and smoke started coming out from the air vent on the door and from the space between the steering wheel and the cluster cover. I pulled over turned the car off and checked under the dash but I couldn't see anymore smoke or anything that looked burned. I started the car back up and started to drive and no more smoke but now my seatbelt light keeps flashing and the beeping for the seatbelt won't stop ringing. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. It's a 91 dx hatch by the way

 

I disconnected the seat belt ringer thing behind the rear view mirror so no more annoying beeping but the seat belt light still flashes...
