Ignition system opinions!! Need help input for you guys.
I have a 2000 Si B16 motor completly overhauled ( Eagle light weight aluminum Crankshaft, 8:1 JE Pistions, Eagle Arms, Titanium Valves, springs and Retainers, stock cams, the engine is bored over stock to a 1.9 Ltr, Head has tripple angle valve job intake and exhaust ports have been ported and polished out, OBX-R intake manifold (Stock throttle body (Need to buy aftermarket if anyones got a cheap one)), 320cc Venom Fuel injectors, Hayame High flow fuel rail, NGK plugs, 10.3 mm wires. I have a Crane Cams distrubutor cap kit and an MSD blaster Coil. From what I have read they dont do very much unless you are dumping significantly higher amounts of fuel and air into the engine which in this case I am. I am in the process of getting a turbo for it too so consider that when you reply. I just want to know if I should use this Crane Cams Cap and blaster coil. Im trying to keep cost down so if I can get away with using this thats great if not is there something else I should be using, for example the Hi-6s system or the LX91 by crane cams?? What I have read about the HI-6S is that its only good up to 7000 RPMs and my engine redlines much higher than that. So confused!!! This is my first and ONLY (haha) rebuild and Im clueless about this part. Any help would be much appreciated!
Oh sweet!
Im a Jackass my Distributor Cap Kit was for my old car and wont even fit. Question still stands though. Should I just go with Stock or buy the right Cap kit and other accessories??
