wobble from the front at steady speeds
Ok so the other day I was on my way to jury duty (didn't get picked) and I was on the streets and I was coming up to the intersection at about 30 I see a pot hole about 8 inches deep and bigger than my wheel around but its too late to avoid or break to slow down enough to prevent damage. Before this happened I didn't have any problems now I have a wobble that won't go away and I'm not sure what it could be shocks are fine lower control arms are ok upper arm sits higher than the other but only by like maybe a half inch the only other thing that looks like it could be screwed up is the cv joint the boot is torn but the grease is clean. Any one with some insight would be great (haven't tried changing the tire/rim yet)
Then get it aligned. If you have an accident involving a pothole of that size the FIRST thing you do is take it to get re-aligned.
If you were on the brakes and hit the pothole there is the possiblity that the tire shifted on the bead therefor throwing out your balance on that tire, which at any speed you would feel a shake or view a shake in your steering wheel. Out of balanced tires can be most easily checked by accelerating and feeling for the vibration to come and go. If that happens then its Balance.
Alignment is good for fuel economy and tire life, they are right.
