Default RHD ITR - help to identify part.

Hello,

As the car is RHD, alot of aftermarket strut braces do not fit properly as they hit the factory a/c lines. I have found a image of a fitted part - but have not been able to find a listing / online retail for it.

The pic below doesnt show the car in particular - but it highlights the potential problem. I am unable to use any of the 3 point braces (or solid 2 point ones) as they all don't clear the brackets on the other strut tower either.

This is the item (brace) that i am hoping to find (pic below). Lots of clearance for the A/C lines and "hopefully" enough room to clear the top of the damper adjustment.
From the internet picture - it seems to show 4 bolt points to the chassis per side. If anyone can help with identifying / sourcing this part - it would be much appreciated. There arent alot of these items over here and any help is a huge plus.

thanks

Is that AC line a hard line? why not just unbold the bracket(s) and just relocate them 1" away from the original location? what did all stock factory RHD ITRs come with with? no strut bar?

The A/C line isnt hard - but i would prefer to not add flex and preload it. I've tried a brand of bracing (ultra racing) which needs the a/c line to be moved quite far.
The car comes with the stock brace but it doesnt mount to the strut tops. And having tried a 3pt which bolts to the strut tops and firewall (with cable tying brackets and flexing a/c lines) - the car felt alot better. I'm running 10kg (560lb - i think) springs - and the strut top mouting seems to make a difference - and hence this endevour.

When I bought my Mugen brace it come with a wee bracket to slightly shift the AC clamp you can see at the bottom right of your yellow circle. It moves it about an inch but seems to work quite well.

Thanks for that! I'm guessing it moves the A/C lines closer to the engine ? Did you have any problems with it being that way ?

Yeah it shifts it by about an inch or so, just enough that the brace doesn't squash it. Have had it for a little over 3 years now and it's fine! Would be easy enough to fab one up yourself

Thanks EF9Fanatic!

If the a/c lines are holding up - its a done deal. Might go and look for a 3 point brace!

Cheers man
