Default All Motor 1.8L HELP..!

so i basically have a stock jdm itr motor wit twm 50mm itbs, skunk2 flat face valves, skunk2 pro1 cams, skunk2 pro series valve springs and retainers. Lookin for some decent headers to go with, something like DTR, Bisimoto or smsp b19. But i cant seem to decide. I wanted to get the car tuned on e85, so do you guys think 440 injectors will be okay.? The bottom end is completely stock. Also thinkin bout get the car tuned at churchs or bisimoto... Just lookin for everyones advices, thanks

440cc plenty. but you might need more compression to make full use of the quads.

If you go to a reputable shop and/or buy reputable custom headers, you can't really go wrong. There really is no single best anything, more of a "group of the best". Buy from any of them and you can't go wrong.

What exhaust are you running? If you go with one of those custom headers, you should consider going to a 2.5-3" exhaust. I had a JDM ITR 4-1 header w/S2S2 cams and the dyno graph was smooth as glass at the VTEC crossover. When I swapped the header for a DTR 4-2-1, hp and torque both took a dump at the crossover. We had to raise the crossover to 6700rpm before we could get a smooth transition.

Fast forward 9 months later, I have a 84.5x89 GSR block, S2P1 cams, same header, 60mm APEXi WS2 exhaust and guess what...same thing. It made more power than before, of course (210 whp/145 tq), but there was a BIG dip in hp and torque at the crossover. It's still set high (about 6500 rpm). Came to find out dropping the exhaust let us drop the crossover back to 5K-ish and made 10-15 whp and 15-20 tq with absolutely no tuning changes. With tuning, with would have been more.

Will be putting a 3" on next month, retuning and expect to hit 230/165.

Yeah I figured.. But the quads look nice in my car.. Haha but I'm not asking for too much power just a good tune and I'll be happy.. I wanted to build it but I'm going for show so....

I won't be running an exhaust, I rarely drive the car. It's been down for three years, just got it back a couple of month ago from the paint shop. It's my show car that I'm building. Shouldn't went k but I got suckered in on the itbs and swap for cheap. And where did you get the car tuned at..?

Pro 1 cams will be fine for your setup. P2's would probably be too big as you wouldn't have the comp necessary to take advantage of them.

If you're running open header, you'll be fine with any of the custom headers. I got my car tuned at Blacktrax, but when it was an essentially stock GSR swap, I had it tuned there, DNR, and at DSR. DNR's dynojet read about 7% higher than Blacktrax's dynapak. DSR's dynojet read about the same as Blacktrax's dynapak. DSR got more power out of the 1.8l but the car ran smoothest on Blacktrax's tune.
