shot ping ?
i just picked up my block and piston/rods from the shop and i wanted to knw if u can tell by just looking at the rods that they have been shot pinged. i thought that u can tell please help me thanks

shot peened not pinged. the changes that are present are more on the tensile strength , almost molecular level, and is not really apparent to the eye. if you doubt your machinist did the work, just ask him, or go to another machine shop with the part and have them analyze it. they can tell
