Default Used TIG Welders

Hey fellas, well i'm looking to buy my first personal TIG welder and Have been looking at a Lincoln Precision 225 or the Miller Diversion 180. Well before I pulled the trigger and dropped $1500-2k on a brand new set up I have been trying to look around for used welders. I'm not picky about wanting brand new as long as it's a good working set up.

Well my question is where should I look for used welders? I'd prefer to avoid driving too far to pick it up or crazy shipping. Does anyone have advice of where to look or am I stuck to CL and Ebay? Thanks for anyone who offers some good advice

I don't wanna make you regret your purchase but you shoulda spent the extra money on a used inverter machine or sync 200.. The 180 isn't the best machine..

Obviously a 200 would be "better" but for a guy who does at home and smaller side job fabrication it will work just fine. It has AC and DC. There are plenty of machines that would be much better but try finding them used. When they are put up for sale which is rare they are scooped up quickly. The fact that this guy sold it to me with a full sized bottle and TONS of rod is another thing to consider. The deal was pretty good and the machine is plenty for what I will need.

for what you are going to use it for it should be fine, i have a sycro 180, its not a sd though but i need to get an inverter machine cause im needing a little more arc focus on my aluminum, and with the transformer style i cant get that focus with the ball effect so great and with the inverter you can actually sharpen your tungsten to a point and it will stay that way for the most part......

good buy in my opinion!
