Default B series swap into 90 CRX Si

Ok so just a brief rundown. In my wheeling and dealing I picked up a 90 crx si that had a B18B1 and a 5 speed ls tranny already in the car with a pr4 ecu. The project was in pieces and for the past 8 months its been my tinker toy. I've done a good deal of research and I have everything in the car and the wiring for OBD-0 along with a obd-0 dizzy fuel injector resistor box is in place and it turns over but no spark... I know there are a few things it could be just looking for ideas for troubleshooting. Any ideas, suggestions, or information is welcomed and appreciated.

Also wanted to add I have checked all the dizzy wires all the way back to the ecu, the relays are good, and I have fuel to the fuel rail and the injectors pass a pulse test. The ECU has power and flashes 6 and 8 times those are the only 2 flash codes I get from it and they sometimes flash 6 then 8 sometimes just 8 havnt noticed 6 by itself. Seems like a wiring issue but I can't find where.

Need more accurate information on the ecu codes. Are you getting spark from ANY of the spark plug wires? If not then you probably have bad dizzy/internals or wiring fail.

Sorry, those ecu codes are just the ones that the little red light on the ecu flash when the key is on. I looked them up 8 is top dead center sensor from the dizzy runs orange/blue and white/blue to the ecu orange/blue is power and goes to c3 pin. I don't remember what 6 was from the manual. I'm not getting spark to any of the plugs. The plugs, wires, and dizzy are all brand new. I'm leaning toward wiring fail but I can't find where its bad. I've been through a good amount of the harness with a meter and everything so far has checked out.

Pr4 is a 0b2 ecu. So you have rewired everything to accomodate this ecu? When i said more info about the CEL i was referring to the possibilty you may not be reading the ecu correctly. The statement "The ECU has power and flashes 6 and 8 times those are the only 2 flash codes I get from it and they sometimes flash 6 then 8 sometimes just 8 havnt noticed 6 by itself." does not make sense.

Yes everything has been rewired to accomodate the ecu, as far as im aware pr4 is 90-93 teg that's what is written on the ecu anyway. the codes...When I turn the key on, the little red light on the ecu starts blinking. It will blink 6 times pause then blink 8 times, then repeats. Or it just blinks 8 times pauses then repeats the same code. I hope this makes sense sorry if it doesn't.

Another thing that I just thought of I don't think it would affect the car not firing but the MAP sensor. Which MAP sensor would I need to use with the setup I have?

My bad not ob2. What color are the connectors on the ECU?
When you read the ecu flashes, are you accounting for long and short flashes, or you are getting 6 short and 8 short?

Yes I am getting 8 short and 6 short there are no long or prolonged flashes. The A sector plug is blue if I remember right and the b and c are black I know for sure.

Soo.. Did you set it to TDC when you installed the dizzy and set all the timing? Although probably not the cause of no spark. And just confirm you are for absolutely sure you are using the obd0 dizzy? b18a distributor.. correct?

Yes Im positive I set it to TDC and installed the dizzy and lined up the marks and what not. Also yes im positive im using an obd0 dizzy I broke down and bought it from Advance Auto brand new because the car had a obd1 dizzy from a 93 teg before I replaced it. Thanks again for all this btw.

oh man...how much?

Are you getting power to the distributor? Not sure if you did this already, just throwing ideas out there.

Yea I got a pretty good deal from them $182 new lifetime warranty out the door they had it the next day. I am getting power into the distributor but I pulled the harness back out of the car this weekend and there are some wires i'm going to replace because when I put a meter on about half the wires on the dizzy plug the readings are jumping around like there is a break in the wire. Everything keeps pointing back to my wiring so hopefully replacing those wires and getting the correct MAP sensor on the car will get me moving the right direction. Keep ideas coming if you have them, Thanks again guys.

well if you got a cel 8 your dizzy is bad or the wiring to the ecu is lacking signal, check the jumper harness pins. For the cel 6 is water temp. sensor. Which is right below the dizzy. I would check the wiring to the sensor and ecu. Sometimes the jumper harness connections come unsolder.
