Just Bought an EF armrest but cannot identify it
like the title said, I purchased an armrest and it hasnt arrived yet but I cant find any other pictures of it on the internet and cannot decide if it will fit in my crx. Sorry its a bad pic but this is the only link i could find :http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...1t:429,r:0,s:0
you got had, that is NOT an EF arm rest. the pic below is an arm rest from a sedan. civic hb, sedan and CRX all have similar arm rest with a few differences. you can see it still installed in the sedan i got it from. even tho its not in mint condition, its still oem. lol
that armrest is rough shape^
I believe the one on ebay was a rear armrest but I have never seen one. Most likely aftermarket. Now they did sell a rear armrest for the hb but it is longer and sits lower on the rear seats

See upon reading the finer print it does say that it is a Rear Center Armrest, that is out of a SH3, but will fit EF8 and EF9. However, i still do not see where it would go in the rear seat of a crx without cutting into that optional seat. Im wondering if i might be able to still install it in those holes behind the ebrake handle. The rear cupholder part slides to reveal two cups, and the front part slides to reveal that opening area, in the bottom of the cup holder there is Japanese writing :p
Reply from seller after I asked him the same question "
actually we are removed from the center of rear seat, japanese people made a small hole at them rear seat.
but you can put on the side you need.the place you say can also fit because its easy to mount.
thank."

I realize that OEM armrests are hard to come by these days, but I don't think it would be worth it to even try to mess with that one. I'd relist that one and try to get an actual EF armrest instead.
I've never seen a CRX rear seat chopped up to put in an armrest. That would be really dumb, not to mention you couldn't even mount it anywhere. It makes no sense at all.

worth it for me to rescue it from the wreckers, lol. i might get it reupholstered.

lol I hear ya, I have come across a few myself but all in rough shape. Still I was able to make one good one and I also have a left over one that is ok shape but it's not an EF
Well I'm pretty sure this arm rest is oem I'n some market as i have seen it once or twice I'n the past and seen it go I'n the upwards of 222. I got mine for 80$ shipped from Malaysia and was toying with the idea of mounting it where the oem one would go as long as cutting would be extremely minimal or non existent. I'm going to await its arrival until i make any decisions but it would be ideal if i could bolt it I'n back where the rear bolts for the brake handle is on the shroud for the cover. But even if my evaluation deems it not worth it to put it I'n i can just realist it for more than i got it for and turn a little profit. I am sill however looking for comformation if anyone has anymore info on where or what it is. When i get aroun to setting up a photobucket account I'll post all nine of the pics i got of it I'n the auction
