It's advisable to cover the hole in your hood before it starts raining.

if its a hood your using for the track only use it on track days...if its the hood you daily drive with well....theres always a price you pay when you change out parts and a hood with a whole in it is going to allow water in... not much you can do really. if it was me i would sell the hood. thats just my opinion

Never had this problem and I've never covered mine. Sometimes steam pours out from the water hitting the header though.

What CEL is it? I'm OBDI for the record..

I've never had a problem on my 07 Si. I Just take it off for the winter.

Just make sure any wires you've modified are well insulated and you shouldn't have problems.

i got the check engine light, and the atts light on. vtec isnt working ethier. had to dry out the engine by taking spark plug wires out and drying them. probably just water hindering the connections or something, but im going to get new plugs and wires. but yeah, this sucks haha, thanks for the info anyways, next day off ill go over my wires and insulate them.

I take mine off for the winter, when the car is parked, and in the summer I only drive on nice days when low chance of rain. I can bring my car inside at work if needed, or toss a plastic bag over the engine, to keep rain from working its way down the plug holes, and causing misfires.

As long as your wires aren't frayed, you shouldn't have an issue.

If you get CELs, check those circuits first, you can always use electrical tape over the connectors for insurance.

How is having a vented hood in the rain any different than going to a car wash with an under body sprayer?

I got the predator hood. I always keep a big black garbage bag in my car that i use to cover all the holes when it rains. Nothing you can really do when ur driving but as long as your moving nothing really gets in there. And i have the stock hood i put on during the winter. Works pretty good. Havnt had any problems so far
