Cafe Goodness
I saw this the other day. What do you guys think? Would you convert to Cafe?

I don't get the fad. Take a beat down old bike, put clip ons, a crappy uncomfortable seat, with an extremely loud exhaust and it's considered cool?
Slow, bad handling, ratty bikes bore me.
Unless it's a 2 stroke, then I don't care, I love it.

I've had all kinds of bikes man, CBR's, GSXr's and I find that I miss my old 73 CB750 the most. It was heavy as a tank, slow compared to the others, but man it had so much flavor. Plus your riding classic Honda man...the bike that started it all. That's like saying a 69 Camaro shouldn't be considered cool because it can't handle or stop well versus new Camaro's.
To each his own man, but if your into cruising it's a nice bike with a lot of flavor versus investing huge in a chopper. Plus, if your a Honda head it's the ultimate man...which is why I'm buyin another one tomorrow....hehe.

Cafe charm comes from building said ratty bikes to be something worth riding again, particularly with a good amount of speed. There is a timeless charm of bringing old, but well built machines back to peak running and racing condition with your own hands.
Bringing a 15 year, barn stored CB750 from junk to mountain carving, 70's era race machine that nips at the heels of squidly mountain riders citywide is a thrill I'll never be able to touch with any of my more modern machines, and I can understand how some people wouldn't trade that thrill for anything else.

nips at the heels? you'll be sent tumbling with your crappy tube tyres, and your beat down CB750 will eat a piston while it detonates it's self into oblivion.
