You don't have to do them all. You will start to see a pattern of what will work and what won't. Eliminated a bunch of combos. Like you don't need to test IN: +9 and EX: +9

All you need to know is what separation values are safe. it will be constant across the board

minimum separation that allows minimum desired clearance. Lest say if your looking for 0.30" you dont increase overlap more than 1 deg. example: 0/+1 or -1/0 or +2/+3 or -3/-2 etc it will all be the same v2v with 1 added degree of overlap

The larger values are where you tend to get into p2v issues.

ok i get it...i just need to know how much degree seperation is too much..so i should check my findings since i got 0 +2 at .024 but 0 -2 ar .048...they should be the same right...

No, at 0, +2 you have reduced the separation, at 0,-2 you increase separation. Any time you advance the exhaust cam or retard the intake cam you put the valves closer together.

I also wouldn't run any less than .030" v2v clearance at 0 lash, to be safe, personally.

Isn't it retarding the exhaust cam and advancing the intake on Hondas with counterclockwise rotation puts the valves closer together?

putting the intake at a positive number and the exhaust at a negetive number will put the valves closer together. so yes, you are right.

Closer the exhaust is to the intake, the closer the valves..

+1/+1 is ideal 0/0...

I'd treat the bc4's like the pro2's.

the bc4's have the same vtec lobe as the s2s2's but bigger primaries.. not as big as the pro series though.

yes, you do all your v2v measurements at 0 lash.

Follow 00 Red SiR had mentioned but lashed them to spec after your measurements are done.

i had lashed them to spec cause i had a hard time getting them to 0 lash cause with the low tension springs the valve would stay open...im gonna go n start over on this and ill repost my findings

why is +1/+1 the ideal 0/0...i though if u moved both cams the same degrees and advance or retard the measurements would be them same...

I'm sure he meant identical as far as v2v goes.

this is confusing cause skunk2 tuner series have + advance and - for retard...and the pro series are - advance and + retard.....

so just to confirm if i retard(+) intake 1 and advance(-) exhaust 1..i should get tighter v2v..

and if i advance(-) intake 1 and retard(+) exhaust 1 then i get looser v2v..

i know it sounds retarded but there so much misinformation out there...some say retard is - and advance is + and other say the opposite...thats why i looked up sk2 cam gears..
