Default Timing Belt tensioner bolt wont move.

I need to loosen the timing belt to get it back on the cams but for some reason the timing belt tensioner will not move. I am afraid that I am going to break it. How tight should these be and how easy is it to break one?

Did you loosen it to remove the cams?
What kinda engine are we talking about here?
Its pretty hard to break one.

I didn't try it out yet. I was told that I would need a breaker bar to help get it out. But we been pretty successful on sliding the belt back on but once we get the belt on its always off by a tooth! I can't find out where to put the allen keys in the cams. Gonna give it another go tomorrow give it another look at.

if you don't want to break it loose just put the cams in time and the belt on before you tighten the cam caps. It's kinda ghetto but works. If you do try to break the bolt loose, you might want to make sure you have a 6-point socket instead of a 12.

You dont need to take the bolt out all the way, just loosen it a little. Ive never tried to replace cams without loosening the belt first.
